General and Preventative Kansas City Dental Services
Being a full-service dentistry, Dr. McLaurian provides all of the traditional general dental services, such as cleanings and exams. We also have an excellent hygienist available to help address any problems that may arise with gum disease.
Cleanings
The surfaces of your teeth will be gently polished to remove all disease-causing plaque. At Gregory Family Dental, we utilize a special ultrasonic will be used to remove any tartar (calculus) attached to your teeth that could lead to gum disease.
Sealants
There are grooves and crevasses that exist on the biting surfaces of teeth. The germs that cause cavities hide in these areas and can commonly cause destructive cavities to form. The modern day approach to prevent this from happening is the use of sealants. Sealants are acryllic shields that are placed in these grooves and crevasses to prevent cavity formation. They are easily placed without the need for injections or drills.
Exams
Our dental exams are an important process. By utilizing state-of-the-art technology we are able to provide a thorough and efficient evaluation of your dental health. Our technologies include:

How to prevent cavities and gingivitis
We're always here to help you with any issues with your teeth. Our aim, however, is for all of our patients to take excellent care of their teeth outside of the dentist's office. While some tooth problems can't be avoided, some, such as gum disease and cavities, can be prevented by proper care. Brush and floss twice a day, and use a mouth rinse like Crest Pro Health daily if you have one.
